Sexual assault and domestic violence survivors are calling on conservatives like Ted Cruz to stop using the anti-LGBT “bathroom predator” myth as a means to stir up fear and hatred against the transgender community since there’s little to no evidence supporting it. Advocates of North Carolina’s controversial anti-transgender bathroom law argue that such legislation is important because men might otherwise sneak into women’s restrooms and attack young girls.
